The Start of the Blog

So I've decided to start a blog.  Never really thought I would, at least if you would have asked me 5 years ago I would have said that I'd never have a blog.  I always saw them as a personal journal that people put on the internet for others to read, and keep update on the person's life.  Then things changed...
I started my own business, which was always an aspiration of mine, and realized that blogs are more than just personal journals.

In this blog, there will be a little of everything.  I will write about life, projects I'm working on, and even events that I am planning.
Let's get started with a little about me...

Surprisingly the one of the only photos I have of all three of us,
and the best one there was.  Isaac was about 3 months here.
The basics: My name is Hayley Yost, formally Childers.  I live in Havre and grew up in Prosser.  I graduated from Carroll College (Go Saints!) in 2010, married the love of my life in 2011, and we had our first child in 2012.  I met Eli at Carroll where we started dating.  After he got a job in Havre, I began my job search there as well as near my parents.  I was either going to move to be with him or move home to start saving up some money.  I was lucky enough to land a job at the local university in the Admissions department.  After our son Isaac was born, I decided that I didn't want to travel for 6-10 weeks every fall and be away from my family so I chose to resign.  I was unsure if I wanted to stay home full-time or work, after talking and getting lots of support from family and friends I decided to start my own event management business.

The business: I currently work out of my home office/laundry room.  Isaac goes to daycare once a week.  When he goes to daycare, I work, catch up use work, and take of anything that is easier to do when I don't have the little mister getting into things.  I've worked on different events throughout my school years, as well as weddings for friends.  Right now is just a waiting game for my first professional event.  I'm starting to work on a wedding, though there hasn't been a propsal yet..no worries it is coming. :)  I am willing to help plan, organize, or just give advice on any event.  I don't have many "blackout" dates, but my family does come first so birthdays and most holidays (day of) are off limits.  My company is For You, By Me Events. Check it out at www.foryoubymeevents.com!

Now, for those following my blog...thanks!! For now, I'll probably just post as I can.  The goal will be once a week, but we'll see.  With just getting started, I might post a few extra times to get "caught up."  I'm also on pinterest and save and find lots of ideas there.
